Louise Uma Landgraf has won the 96th Portuguese International Ladies' Amateur Championship at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort.
The four-round stroke play event, organised by the Portuguese Golf Federation, brought together a strong international field of 90 players once again marking its status as the first major international event of the calendar year in Europe. The championship also carried additional significance this year, as the first counting event towards the newly introduced European Amateur Order of Merit.
The 2025 champion, Landgraf, successfully defended her title, opening with consecutive rounds of 68 before carding a steady 70 in round three. The French player closed with a superb six-under-par 67 to come from behind and secure a one-shot victory.
A tightly contested battle for second place saw Czech player Anna Ludvová, leader after 54 holes, and Finland's June Weckman finish tied on 18-under-par. England's Charlotte Naughton claimed fourth place on 16-under-par, while Scarlett Schremmer (USA), Noa Zocco (Italy) and Spain's Angela Revuelta shared fifth position on 13-under-par.
Low scoring was a feature throughout the championship, with favourable conditions at Penina allowing players to attack throughout the week. Spain's Amanda Revuelta finished eighth on 12-under-par, while France's Alice Kong completed the top ten on 10-under-par.
With her victory in Portugal, Louise Uma Landgraf becomes the first leader of the Women's European Amateur Order of Merit, setting an early benchmark as the 2026 season gets underway. The next opportunity for players to score points will be the Spanish International Amateur Championship in early March.
