Round 3 Summary - European Ladies' Amateur Championship

Sara Kjellker held onto her lead in the third round of the European Ladies' Amateur Championship at Royal Park I Roveri in Italy.

The 22-year-old started the day with a three stroke advantage on eight-under-par, but a round of 72 (par) would allow her Swedish teammates to gain ground.

The final three-ball consisted solely of Swedish players. Beatrice Wallin and Meja Ortengren, playing alongside Kjellker, started the day three strokes behind their compatriot.

Ingrid Lindblad booked herself a spot in Saturday's final group with a second consecutive 69 (-3) to reach -7 for the tournament, and move to within just one stroke of the leader.

Beatrice Wallin, who played in the final group alongside Kjellker, recovered to shoot a round of 70 (-2) despite being +2 after five holes. The highlight of her round came at the par-5 11th, where she became the first player of the week to card a three. Wallin (-7) will play alongside Lindblad and Kjellker in the final group of Round 4.

Germany's Alex Försterling, the only non-Swedish player in the top-5, had a successful moving day at Royal Park I Roveri. A three-under-par round of 69 moved her from 7th to 4th and within just two shots of the lead.

16-year-old Meja Ortengren handled the pressure well in Friday's final group. Playing in the tournament for the first time, the Swedish junior was able to card a 72 (par) despite a costly double-bogey on the par-4 13th.

63 players made the 54-hole cut on +5, and will play in Saturday's final round.
