European Mid-Amateur Age Limit Reduced

The European Golf Association has taken the decision to reduce the minimum age limit for entry into the European Mid-Amateur Championships.

Players were previously required to be 30 years of age on Day 1 of competition when entering the EGA's Mid-Amateur Championships, but this limit has now been reduced to 25 years of age.

The change will come into effect this season, and will be applied for the first time when the 31st edition of the European Mid-Amateur Men's Championship, and the 3rd edition of the European Mid-Amateur Ladies' Championship, are contested at Pula Golf Resort in Spain from 3 to 5 June.

The EGA currently stages one Mid-Amateur event per year, where the men's and ladies' titles are competed for concurrently over three rounds of stroke play.
