EGA Championships Ranked Amongst the World's Strongest

The EGA's flagship individual tournaments have again been ranked amongst the top amateur championships in the world for strength of field by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

This season, the European Amateur Championship, which was competed for by 17 of the world's top-50, and 35 of the world's top-100 amateur players (WAGR), was rated as the strongest men's amateur four-round stroke play event in the world. It was also the second strongest amateur event in Europe, and fourth globally.

The European Ladies' Amateur Championship was ranked as the strongest ladies' open amateur event in the world, and the top event in Europe.

The European Amateur Team Championship featured the fourth strongest men's field of the year in Europe, while the European Ladies' Team Championship featured the third strongest ladies' field.
