Caroline Huyskes Joins IGF Board as Women’s Chair

27 Oct 2025

EGA President, Caroline Huyskes has been elected Women’s Chair of the International Golf Federation’s (IGF) Administrative Committee. In this capacity, she automatically joins the IGF Board, working alongside other leading figures from the global golf community. The appointment was confirmed earlier this month during the IGF Biennial Meeting in Singapore, held in conjunction with the World Amateur Team Championships.

The IGF Administrative Committee, which meets every two years, is responsible for approving National Federation Memberships, overseeing the organisation of golf competitions at the Youth Olympic Games and World Amateur Team Championships, and managing the financing of the IGF’s activities.

The IGF Board, which formally meets three times per year, brings together an influential group of stakeholders, including Directors of The R&A and the USGA, as well as representatives from the world’s leading Professional Tours. The Board defines the IGF’s strategic direction and ensures meaningful input from the sport’s key global stakeholders.

Recognised as the International Federation for golf within the Olympic and Paralympic Movement, the IGF oversees the golf competitions at the Olympic Games and World Amateur Team Championships, while also driving the sport’s development worldwide.

Huyskes, whose term as EGA President concludes next month, has served on the Administrative Committee since 2018 as a representative of the Netherlands. Her election as Women’s Chair marks the beginning of a new six-year term, which will run until the 2031 World Amateur Team Championships.
