Eliot Baker and Charlotte Naughton lead the European Amateur Order of Merit standings at the close of the Back-Nine Swing.
With two thirds of the pilot season complete, English players sit top of both tables as the EAOM heads into its Final Sprint phase.
The EAOMs were launched by the EGA earlier this year to strengthen the appeal of the international amateur calendar for elite players competing in Europe and to promote the continent's most prestigious events.
Men's Standings
With 12 events now in the books for the men, Eliot Baker continues to lead the standings, a position he has held since winning the Copa Sotogrande in April. The Englishman heads a field of more than 800 players who have competed in at least one counting tournament this season.
The winner of the Front-Nine Swing added to his total across the Back-Nine, opening with a runner-up finish at the Brabazon Trophy, then making the cut at both the St Andrews Links Trophy and The Amateur Championship. At the European Amateur Championship, Baker recovered from an opening 77 (six over), which left him 120th, to finish inside the top 10 and strengthen his hold on top spot.
Ending the Back-Nine Swing at the head of the standings brings an additional HotelPlanner Tour invite at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge.
Mads Heller is Baker's closest challenger in second. The Dane has three runner-up finishes this year and added a T13 at the European Amateur Championship in Finland.
England's Tom Osborne rounds out the podium. The winner of both the Spanish International Amateur and the Brabazon Trophy did not make ground at the two amateur majors in recent weeks, but sits less than 200 points behind Baker.
Women's Standings
Charlotte Naughton is the new leader of the Women's European Amateur Order of Merit after the biggest win of her career at the European Ladies' Amateur Championship in Sweden.
The 18-year-old holds a commanding lead in the women's rankings, adding the maximum points score to an already strong season. Naughton had already recorded four top-five finishes in EAOM events this year, and her major win lifts her from seventh to first.
As the leader after the Back-Nine, the English junior earned an invite to the VP Bank Swiss Ladies' Open.
Louise Uma Landgraf, winner of the Front-Nine Swing, sits second. She has not played an event since mid-May, but her two victories in Portugal and Ireland keep her high in the standings.
France's Valentine Delon is third, on the back of her Women's Amateur Championship triumph in June. Delon also produced a strong showing in the stroke play rounds of the European Ladies' Team Championship, moving her ahead of the Czech Republic's Anna Ludvova.
Attention Turns to the Final Sprint Series
The EAOM season now enters its decisive closing phase, the Final Sprint. Four events for the men and three for the women, all carrying increased points, will decide the inaugural European Amateur Order of Merit crowns.
The men's first Final Sprint event is the Finnish International Men's Amateur Championship (Erkko Trophy) at Helsinki Golf Club in early August. The women's closing phase opens with the Swiss International Women's Amateur Championship at Golf Gerre Losone.
