39 Countries to be Represented in 2024 EGA Team Events

39 different European countries will be represented in the EGA's 2024 Team Championships.

At the closing of entries for the 2024 European team events on 29 April, 230 teams totalling close to 1200 players had been entered for at least one of the association's upcoming tournaments this year.

The EGA will coordinate 14 team championship this season in a number of different categories such as men's, girls', seniors and for golfers with disability (run in collaboration with EDGA).

In addition, the European Young Masters, primarily an individual event for U16's but with a nations' cup category, will see the most countries represented with 29 set to travel to Penati Golf Resort in Slovakia late July.

EGA member countries will have the chance to win European team titles in a new category this year, with the inaugural European Mid-Amateur Men's and Ladies' Team Championships set to take place in September.

31 teams representing 17 countries, numbers exceeding expectations, have entered the tournaments for golfers aged 25+ to be contested in parallel at Golf de Chiberta in France.

Among the 39 different countries represented will be Kosovo, who will participate in an EGA Team Championship for the first time this year. Kosovo is the EGA's newest member, and will compete in the European Men's Team Shield Championship, intended for small and emerging golfing nations in Europe, hosted by Liechtenstein in early August.

The primary European Team Championship week, which sees the Amateur, Ladies', Boys', Girls' and Division 2 events take place simultaneously, will be held from 9 to 13 July at five different venues across Europe this year.

That week, three Spanish teams will tee it up as defending champions after a spectacular 2023 season which saw them claim the European Amateur, Ladies', and Girls' Team Championship titles.

Spain will also enter the European Senior Ladies' Team Championship, which takes place later in the season, as title holders.
