The World Handicap System (WHS) is nearing 100% adoption in Europe with 37 out of 45 EGA handicapping members, and more than 100 countries worldwide, now using the new system.
Course Rating and Slope Database
The Course Rating Database is now online on The R&A and USGA websites. The tool can be found on The R&A website here.
Course Rating Calibration Seminar
There is unfortunately no scheduled date to hold the Calibration Seminar that was cancelled last year, although the WHS staff are looking into planning a series of Q&A webinars focused on the course rating system. More information on these webinars will be communicated in the coming weeks.
Rules of Handicapping & Technical Specifications
A clarification for Rule 6.2 (Playing Handicap Calculation), giving discretion on where rounding occurs, and an updated version of the WHS Technical Specification have been sent to all members. These documents are also available on the members' section of the EGA website.
