Royal Hague Golf & Country Club
The current course was designed in 1938, by the famous golf course architects Harry colt and C.H. Alison. Although Alison was responsible for most of the design, as evidenced by the slightly larger bunkers and more extreme nature, the course is still counted as one of the finest Colt designed courses in Europe.
The course was laid by Copijn of Groenekan.

History
The Vagliano Trophy is a biennial match played between eight-player teams from the Continent of Europe and Great Britain & Ireland. The EGA selects the Continent of Europe team, while the GB&I side is selected by The R&A.
The Vagliano Trophy was presented by André Vagliano to the French Golf Federation and the Ladies’ Golf Union in 1931, originally for an annual match between Great Britain and Ireland and France.
From 1949 to 1957 Great Britain had also played a biennial match against Belgium. In 1959 the two matches were replaced by one with Britain playing a team representing the Continent of Europe, the Vagliano Trophy being used for the new event.
The match takes place over two days. Four foursomes matches in the morning and eight singles matches in the afternoon are played on both days with 24 total points available to the teams.
Notable former participants from the Continent of Europe include: Linn Grant, Céline Boutier, Sophia Popov, Caroline Hedwall, Caroline Masson, Carlota Ciganda, Pernilla Lindberg, Anna Nordqvist, Gwladys Nocera and from the and Great Britain & Ireland, Lottie Woad, Leona Maguire, Georgia Hall, Bronte Law, Melissa Reid, and Catriona Matthew.
