Rosendaelsche Win European Men's Club Trophy

Rosendaelsche Golf Club have won the 2021 European Men's Club Trophy in Portugal.

The Dutch club found themselves in contention from the start, opening with a level-par day to sit just two shots behind Smørum Golfklub.

In round two, the eventual winners took the lead. With all three team scores under-par in windy conditions, Rosendaelsche opened a six-shot advantage heading into the final round.

A third consecutive under-par round from 2018 Jacques Léglise Trophy player, Kiet Van der Weele, coupled with a 76 from Floris Veth was enough for the team to post a total of -4 and win the European Men's club title for the first time.

Golf de Biarritz le Phare, 2020 French national champions, earned the silver medals. They finished the tourament with a score of -1, the only other club to post an under-par total on the tight Troia layout.

Smørum Golfklub of Denmark claimed the bronze medals with a score of +4.

Kiet Van der Weele (Rosendaelsche Golf Club) and Antoine Auboin (Golf de Biarritz le Phare), tied for the best aggregate individual scores of the week. Both players carded two rounds of 69 (-3) and a round of 70 (-2) for totals of -8.
