The 2025 European Ladies’ Club Trophy took place this week at Green Resort Hrubá Borša, Slovakia, where Golf Club Sankt Leon-Rot (Germany) delivered a dominant performance to claim a remarkable victory after three days of challenging play.
The opening round was played in cold but sunny conditions, with strong winds making the morning particularly tough for the first groups on the course. Despite this, Golf Club Sankt Leon-Rot set the early pace with a total of two under par (−2), the only team to finish the day under par. Their counting scores were 70 (−2) and 72 (even par). Close behind were Smørum Golfklub (Denmark) at +2, thanks to an impressive 68 (−4) paired with a 78 (+6).
The second round began after a one-hour delay due to icy conditions, but once play started, the weather remained sunny and cold with a steady wind. Golf Club Sankt Leon-Rot continued to pull away from the field, producing another pair of excellent scores: 71 (−1) and a superb 68 (−4) from Sofia Maier-Borst, the only player in the field to record two consecutive rounds under par (70 / 68). With those performances, the German team built a commanding 17-shot lead over Pyle & Kenfig (Wales), whose scores of 78 (+6) and 76 (+4) were solid but not enough to challenge the leaders.
The final day brought calmer conditions, still cold but with little to no wind, allowing for lower scores across the board. Salomé Lumbaca from Golf Club de Lyon (France) carded a bogey-free 69 (−3), while Nella Kaszper (Czech Republic) produced the best round of the tournament, a stunning 67 (−5) highlighted by five consecutive birdies on the back nine. Golf Club Sankt Leon-Rot maintained their momentum to close out the tournament in style, with counting rounds of 70 (−2) and 73 (+1) securing victory by an impressive 15-shot margin over Smørum Golfklub (Denmark).
Completing the podium was Golf Club Třinec (Czech Republic), finishing at +12 after a consistent showing throughout the week.
