History

Due to the growing popularity of the European Senior Ladies' Team Championship, contested since 2006, the EGA introduced a second division for the event. 

The first edition of the European Senior Ladies' Team Championship, Division 2 will take place in 2026, and grant promotion to Division 1 for the top-three placed teams.
