Diamond CC
The Diamond Country Club – the only European Tour Destination in Austria – is an exceptional venue situated in the picturesque Lower Austrian Countryside within easy reach of Vienna (about 50km).
The centrepiece is undoubtedly the 6.761 metres par 72 Diamond Course, designed by the famous English architect Jeremy Pern and opened in 2002.
A scenic and challenging test of golf, featuring water hazards on no less than nine holes, that threaten tee and approach shots alike.
History
The European Boys’ Team Championship, or Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy, is an annual golf event for EGA member countries and has been played since 1980, making it the most contested championship in EGA history. The tournament features two days of stroke play followed by three days of match play, where teams compete for medals or to avoid relegation to Division 2. Every European major champion since 2010 has competed in this event, highlighting its importance in nurturing future talent.
Notable former participants include Ludvig Åberg, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Nicolai & Rasmus Hojgaard, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald, Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, and Rafael Cabrera-Bello.
