The European Golf Association (EGA) has confirmed the second set of rewards that will be available as part of the European Amateur Order of Merit (EAOM), with details now released for the men’s and women’s Back-Nine series of events.

Following the Front-Nine phase, the Back-Nine swing continues to offer significant incentives, rewarding both event winners and leading players at key points in the season. Running from late May through July, the Back-Nine swing represents the peak of the European amateur calendar, featuring flagship events such as the European Amateur and Ladies’ Amateur Championships, alongside The Amateur and Women’s Amateur Championships run by The R&A.

The EAOM, launched earlier this year, has been developed by the EGA in coordination with its member federations to strengthen the European elite amateur golf calendar by increasing the visibility and value of its leading championships. The initiative aims to recognise and reward consistent performance across the season, provide attractive playing opportunities, and create clear pathways for Europe’s top amateur players into elite amateur events and professional golf.

PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEN

The Back-Nine swing for the men will begin in late May with the English Men’s Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship (Brabazon Trophy) and run through to the European Amateur Team Championship.

Men – Back-Nine Event Winner Rewards

All Back-Nine event winners earn an exemption into the 2026 EAOM Final Sprint events. In addition, the following rewards will be available:

*in addition to an invite to The Open, The Amateur Championship winner also receives an invite to the US Open, and traditionally, an invite to the Masters Tournament

Men – Back-Nine Swing Rewards (based on EAOM ranking position on 13 July)

To recognise season-long performance, the following rewards will be awarded based on the overall EAOM standings following the Front-Nine and Back-Nine Swings:

PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN

The women’s Back-Nine swing will begin with the St Rule Trophy at the end of May and conclude with the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship in July.

Women – Back-Nine Event Winner Rewards

All Back-Nine event winners earn an exemption into the 2026 EAOM Final Sprint events. In addition, the following rewards will be available:

*In addition to an invite to the AIG Women’s Open, The Women’s Amateur Championship winner also receives invites to the US Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship, and Chevron Championship

Women – Back-Nine Swing Rewards (based on EAOM ranking position on 27 July)

To recognise season-long performance, the following rewards will be awarded based on the overall EAOM standings following the Front-Nine and Back-Nine Swings:

All rewards remain under the ownership of the respective national golf federation, body, or event promoter, in coordination with the EGA.

Further details on the Final Sprint phase of the EAOM, which will conclude the 2026 season, and the Final Ranking rewards for the overall winners, will be confirmed in due course.
