Crampton and Wooster Win European Senior Titles

James Crampton has won the 2022 European Senior’s Championship held at Pärnu Bay Golf Links, Estonia.

The English player entered the final day with a three-shot lead, having been the only player to card two scores under-par in the opening two rounds.

In the final round, Sweden’s Mattias Pernheden was Crampton's biggest challenger. Pernheden, the 2019 champion, made four birdies early in the round, but a quadruple-bogey 8 on the 9th hole ended his challenge.

Mattias Pernheden (SWE) was ultimately awarded the silver medal on +2, three shots behind, and Edward Richrdson (ENG) the bronze on +3.

In the Ladies’s championship, Sue Wooster claimed the title. The Australian player took an early lead over the field after an opening round score of 75 (+3).

Wooster started day two with one birdie and continued to lead the second day with another score of 75 (+3). In the final round, the Australian carded one birdie in 17th hole to finish with a 3rd 75, the lowest score of the day, and claim the title by eight strokes on a total of +9. She becomes the first Australian player to win the title in the event's history.

Lotte Greve (DEN) was awarded the silver medal with a total of +17, and Anna Lunding (SWE) the bronze on +18.
