England’s Charlotte Naughton has become the first winner of the Women’s European Amateur Order of Merit (EAOM), following the conclusion of the inaugural series last week.
The 18-year-old earns an EGA gold medal for the achievement, along with an invitation to compete on the Ladies European Tour.
Introduced in 2026, the Women’s EAOM featured 15 counting events across Europe, spanning the Front-Nine, Back-Nine and Final Sprint phases of the season. The ranking was developed by the EGA in coordination with its member federations to strengthen the European elite amateur calendar, reward consistent performance, and create further pathways into leading amateur and professional events.
Naughton began the year with a top-four finish at the Portuguese International Ladies’ Amateur Championship, before adding further top-five results at the Copa Sotogrande, German International Women’s Amateur and St Rule Trophy.
The English player sat seventh in the standings heading into the Back-Nine, before producing the defining result of her season at the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship. Victory in Sweden propelled Naughton to the top of the rankings and gave her a commanding advantage heading into the Final Sprint.
Her final total of 1,436 points proved enough to secure the title, with none of her closest challengers able to close the gap over the final events of the season. Among players that competed in the minimum of three counting events to be included in the final standings, Naughton finished more than 500 points clear at the top.
Carlota Locatelli (SUI) and Sophie Renner (GRE) completed the top three after strong late-season performances saw both climb the standings. The pair also earn EGA medals and Ladies European Tour Access Series invitations for their podium finishes.
Anna Ludvova (CZE) finished just seven points behind Renner in fourth place, while Austria’s Johanna Janisch completed the top five.
The first Women’s EAOM season has now reached its conclusion, with Naughton becoming the inaugural champion after a campaign spanning 15 events and some of the strongest fields on the European amateur calendar.
