Richard Heath Recognised at Golf de Morfontaine

The former General Secretary of the European Golf Association (EGA), Richard Heath, was formally thanked in recognition of his services to the EGA during the European Seniors’ Championship (ESC) at Golf de Morfontaine in France.

The Australian national, who joined the EGA as Championship Manager in 2006 and was appointed General Secretary five years later, was competing in the ESC for the first time.

This event was the first opportunity the EGA’s Executive Committee had to thank him in person since leaving the organization at the start of the year. Richard was presented with a silver plate by Pierre Bechmann, Past President of the EGA, during the championship’s Gala Dinner.

The memento recognizes Richard’s many years of diligent work towards the European Golf Association and reads: “To Richard Heath from the President, Committees and Members of the European Golf Association, in recognition of his distinguished services as General Secretary from 2011 to 2021”.

Richard is an accomplished golfer and has won the European Mid-Amateur Men’s Championship twice. He is now pursuing his career as General Secretary of the Swiss PGA.
