"An outstanding links” The words come from Major David Blair, Captain of The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of S:t Andrews when he visited Falsterbo GK.

"An outstanding links” The words come from Major David Blair, Captain of The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of S:t Andrews when he visited Falsterbo GK. Surely it is a unique course in many ways.

The full 18 holes course was consecrated the summer of 1930. After a few changes, the course was finished in its current layout 1934.

Falsterbo golf course is located in a beautiful nature reserve called Flommen. 1930 the golfers were the only ones who used the area. Back then the waves from the Baltic Sea hit the sand banks just outside the 17th tee. It does not get more seaside than this in Sweden.

During the years the overall designs is kept, but changes has been made to bunkers and green areas to keep up with modern architecture and golf course design. The course is situated on the very far southwest tip of Sweden with a magnificent view over to Denmark. The wind is always a strong element of the golf at Falsterbo.

Falsterbo is very proud of its history and strong relationship with international golf. Back in 1963 Falsterbo was the host for The European Championships. Since then several championships has been held here. The club is very honored to have been elected as host for the 2021 Jacques Léglise Trophy.
