History

The European Mid-Amateur Men’s Team Championship, for golfers aged 25 and over, was inaugurated by the EGA in 2024. 

This event highlights the EGA's continued efforts to promote international competition at the mid-amateur level, following the introduction of the European Mid-Amateur Ladies’ Championship in 2019 and the lowering of the mid-amateur age limit to 25 in 2021. 

The men's and women's competitions are contested in parallel at the same venue, with up to 24 teams of four players competing over four days of stroke play and match play.
