2005 PING Junior Solheim Cup

The third PING Junior Solheim Cup took place at Bridgewater Club, Indiana , USA on 5-7 September 2005.

The United States won the inaugural event in 2002 in Minnesota, while the European side evened the series in Sweden in 2003.  In 2005 United States won back the trophy by defeating the European team by 16-8.

“I truly enjoyed playing in a team together with the top junior golfers in Europe . I have always enjoyed playing match play and the tournament gave me a lot of experience when competing against other international juniors”, said Anna Nordqvist, member of the European PING Junior Solheim Cup team.

“I would like to turn professional in a few years and my goal is of course to play in The Solheim Cup. During the week I got the opportunity to talk to some of the European Solheim Cup players and it gave me a lot of motivation. It was really fun watching The Solheim Cup and all of us learned a lot from their game”, Anna continued.
