Important changes to the European Amateur and Ladies' Amateur Team Championship Conditions regarding caddies
Effective immediately

 

The conditions for the European Amateur Team Championship and the European Ladies' Amateur Team Championship will now read:

Caddies
Only team captains and team members may act as caddies.
Penalty for Breach of Condition: Match Play - At the conclusion of the hole at which the breach is discovered, the state of the match must be adjusted by deducting one hole for each hole at which a breach occurred; maximum deduction per round: two holes.
Stroke Play - Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round: four strokes. In the event of a breach between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole.
A player having a caddie in breach of this Condition must immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred ensure that he conforms with this Condition for the remainder of the stipulated round. Otherwise, the player is disqualified.
 

The new condition, which previously stated that "A player is prohibited from using a professional golfer as his caddie during any stipulated round", now excludes all persons except team captains and fellow team members from caddying for a player. 

 

The Caddies Condition for the European Men's and Ladies' Senior Team Championships shall remain as before:

The Caddies Condition for the European Boys' and Girls' Team Championships also remains unchanged:

Caddies / Electric Trolleys / Transportation
a) No caddies are permitted except for fellow team members and team captains.
b) Electric trolleys are not permitted.
c) Players shall walk at all times during a stipulated round unless permitted to ride by the Committee.

Use of any unauthorised form of electric trolley or transportation shall be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise, the player shall be disqualified.
