Spain Tops 2023 EGA Medal Table

Spain was the most successful country in the EGA's 2023 Championship season.

With an impressive six gold medals, including four of the European Team Championships and both flagship individual amateur events, Spain won four more gold medals than any other country in EGA events this year.

The EGA Medal Table, which tallies top-three finishes by each member federation in all European amateur title events, is a way of recognising the top performing countries from the past season.

The full table, which features results from 20 events and 60 total medals this year, can be found below:

Nine different countries earned gold medals in EGA Championships in 2023, while 14 countries had a least one podium finish.

Six different countries won two EGA championship titles this year, although France top that list, having won the most silver medals (four) throughout the season.

Ireland, which claims the last position on the podium, tied Spain for the most total medals won this season, with two gold, three silver and four bronze.
