The EGA started its 2020 championship season with the European Team Shield Championship on 29 July to 1 August. 10 Teams competed at Pravets GC in Bulgaria.
The course was in excellent condition and the weather hot and sunny. Both finals saw excellent golf and very tightly contested matches.
In the Men's Team Shield, Poland won from Bulgaria, 2nd, and Malta, 3rd.
In the Ladies' Team Shield, Bulgaria won the gold medal on home soil in front of Poland and Ukraine.
