The European Senior Men’s Team Championship, played at Diamond G&CC in Austria, saw Denmark win for the first time in the event’s history.
After the Strokeplay qualification, eight teams were competing for the medals.
Denmark defeated Austria and Germany before overcoming Italy in the final 2.5-0.5.
Germany defeated Belgium in the bronze medal match with Martin Birkhloz and Ulrich Schulte both winning their single matches against Fabrice Haussy and Pierre Yves Roeland, respectively.
Next year the championship will be held at Sedin Golf Club in Slovakia on 31 August - 4 September 2021.
