Germany wins the 2020 European Girls' Team Championship

Germany proves too strong for Sweden in the European Girls' Team Championship at Green Resort Hrubá Borša in Slovakia.

 

Charlotte Back and Chiara Horder (GER) won their foursomes match defeating Ester Fagersten and Maia Samuelsson (SWE). Paula Schulz-Hanssen secured the trophy by winning a closely fought singles match on the 19th hole to Matilda Jonsson.

 

The Netherlands defeated Switzerland in the bronze medal match with Noa Van Beek and Eva Nijenhuis winning their foursomes match against Ginnie Lee and Victoria Levy. Anne-Sterre Den Dunnen allowed her team to take the third place on the podium by winning her singles match to Caroline Sturdza.

 

Next year the championship will be held at Hilversumsche GC in the Netherlands on 6-10 July 2021.
