European Team Shield Championships - Day 3

Serbia and Latvia have progressed to the final of the European Ladies' Team Shield Championship at Riverside Golf, Zagreb. 

Serbia defeated last year's runners-up, Poland, 2-1 in Friday's semi-final to reach their first ever European Ladies' Team Shield Championship final. Wins from Jana Marinovic and Jelena Lainovic in the foursomes match and Jefimija Dordevic in the singles secured victory for the Serbian team.

Latvia will be their opponents in the final, they defeated Greece 2-1 to reach their second final in the event's history.

In the Men's event, Croatia defeated Hungary 2-1 in a very tight match to claim a spot in Saturday's final. After Lovro Horvat and Adam Brnic won the foursomes match 4&2 for the hosts, both of the singles matches went down the 18th hole.

A one-hole victory by Croatia's Ivan Vucemil over Oliver Csanyi secured the two points needed to advance to their second final in three years. 

In the other semi-final, Malta defeated Liechtenstein 2-1 to book a spot in their first ever European Men's Team Shield Championship final. Nicholas Beck and Ruud Critien won the fouseomes match 5&3, allowing Andrew Borg to claim the deciding point on the 14th green.
